So my name is Olga Shenderova I am CEO of Adamas Nanotechnologies. So what we do at Adamas we break diamonds to nanodiamonds. My background is in computational physics. I relocated in USA in 1994. I started to work as a postdoctoral researcher at North Carolina State University continuing my atomistic simulations but those simulations were done on time it is when I started to be introduced to the work of diamond 1995 so it is 30 years of me being in this fascinating field. Then I was an associate research assistant professor at NC State before I joined International Technology Center nonprofit research organization at North Carolina focusing on microelectronics applications and I started nanodiamond experimental work at ITC. We advanced nanodiamond a lot. Making all these advancements in nanodiamond at a nonprofit research organization it was obvious that we can bring all these developments to the real world, so we started Adamas Nanotechnologies.
So we do very heavy processing in Adamas. We have milling machines; we have centrifuges to have these narrow size particles; we have chemical hoods; we run a lot of different surface reactions; we produce about a dozen of different diamond surface functionalization uniquely tailored for specific applications. We have very extensive characterization capabilities to measure particle size, colloidal properties and also, we are very proud that we recently built our quantum characterization infrastructure at Adamas. We now can measure all major quantum characteristics of nanodiamond particles containing NV centers. So now our customers will get fully characterized quantum grade diamond products- all done in the US.
Since we provide this kind of diamond at the cutting edge of diamond developments so our customers- 50% of our customers are from academia, a high percentage from the remaining 50% are high tech companies.
So, we built this quantum characterization infrastructure and at the same time this infrastructure gave us the possibility to bring to the market sensing instruments. Not just for our in-house characterization but also to enable all these sensing applications of nanodiamond by our end users.
So, we have we are in a stage of preparation of our first quote for ODMR instruments so that our customers can use these instruments for sensing of magnetic fields, of free radicals, the temperature and the other properties. And so we are very excited about this new direction for Adamas to work on commercialization of quantum sensing instrumentation.
